In this week’s travel spotlight, we’re focusing on the province of Saskatchewan. Currently in Saskatchewan, RNs and LPNs are needed in La Ronge, Prince Albert, Shellbrook, Leask, and the Big River area. RNs with experience in emergency rooms, long-term care, ICU, and operation rooms are needed. While working in Saskatchewan, you can visit some of the places dlisted below, depending on where you’re stationed.
The Mann Art Gallery in Prince Albert
If you’re working in Prince Albert, one of the coolest places to visit would have to be The Mann Art Gallery. The Art Gallery has a bunch of unique expositions, educational programs, artist’s galleries, and collections. There you can visit a wide range of artistic creations that have been in the galleries’ position since 1993. Many of the pieces of art that can be found there are both historical and contemporary pieces and have impressed many visitors. You can also see the John V. Hicks Gallery (formally named the “little Gallery”) It was renamed to John V. Hick’s due to his mentorship and teachings that he passed on to many artists.
Lake La Ronge Provincial Park
In your downtime, take a relaxing hike through the beautiful public park known as Lake La Ronge Provincial Park. Lak La Ronge Provincial Park is the perfect place to “get away from it all” as one recent visitor described it. After a long and potentially stressful week of running around assisting patients and people in need, take a moment to breathe and enjoy the fresh air of the outdoor wilderness. You can even go kayaking on the lake too! It is one of the best places in La Ronge to take some time to yourself and enjoy some peace.
Big River Golf Course
If you’re looking to get some tee time on your days off, then visit the lavish fairways of the Big River Golf Course! The golf course features nine holes, beautiful long stretches of green grass, and also has water hazards and tee boxes. There are plenty of trees that line the fairways of the golf course, so make sure you don’t want to land a nasty Christmas Present! (For non Golfers that means when you get your ball stuck behind a tree) When you’re done playing a challenging game of golf, you can dine in or take out from the Clubhouse’s restaurant: Monty’s River Grille. The restaurant has both a breakfast menu and a lunch menu so you can schedule your tee time accordingly.
Those are some of the cool, relaxing, or interesting places you can visit while working at one of the places that are currently looking for RNs or LPNs in Saskatchewan.
